Rain, rain, go away!

        Between work and rain, Molly and I have had very little time to play! We've come up with some great house fetch games, but I don't believe my neighbor is too happy with Molly rocketing up and down the stairs.

Interesting doggie facts!

Was reading up on some of the reasons Molly does the crazy things she does and though I'd share a few interesting facts.

• Dogs often hesitate before going out in the rain. It's not because they're afraid of getting wet, but because the rain amplifies sound and hurts their sensitive ears. (totally thought she was scared)
  
• Studies show that a lovingly handled dog is a healthier dog. The touch of the human hand improves the functions of virtually all the sustaining systems: respiratory, circulatory, digestive and so on. (well, if this is the case, i guess Molly will be living forever :))
  
• (Whaaattt) In Russia, a team of doctors and scientists conducted 1,278 telepathic experiments with dogs, of which 696 were successful. Most of teh experiments involved testing the dog's ability to read unspoken commands. The research team concluded that some ESP factor must be at work.
  
• It is a myth that dogs are color blind. They can actually see in color, just not as vividly as humans. It is akin to our vision at dusk.
  
• It has been established that people who own pets live longer, have less stress, and have fewer heart attacks. (Awesome, so it goes both ways, we're both living forever!)

            This picture here is from a few months ago at the dog park. Apparently Molly felt neglected and wanted to make enough noise to be heard!

          So, all in all the park was a fun trip today. Unfortunately Molly didn't feel like sharing her toys and we had to leave a few minutes earlier than I had planned. We did however get some great fetch time in! Featured below is some of todays events!

The park was... Interesting..

        Started out as any normal car ride, with Molly perched on the center armrest keeping an eye on things.

"mmm, AC feels gooood"

After arriving, Molly being her normal spastic-self had a blast at the park. The other dogs, however, not so much. See, Molly likes her toys. She likes them so much, that she will not share, no matter one. Today she decided to steal this one dogs ball, and guard it with her life from any other dog. Said dog thought he was tough and went to take it. That didn't end so well. Molly showed that she doesn't take crap from anyone!

However, eventually she eventually wore herself out and left "her" toys for the taking.

"You know what, you can have it."

        It's dog park day! Live stream will be active throughout the trip. Maybe if all goes well, some videos of some tricks im looking to teach her.

        Today random picture shows Molly in one of her new favorite "hiding" spots. You can imagine my surprise (or hers) when I went to take a shower!

Determination

        Molly has now been chewing on the same bone next to me for close to 3 hours. If you've been following (or catching up on) the Live Streams, then you'll know that Molly has found a new fascination for an old bone of hers I found while rummaging through the couch. For those interested, yes, my pillow is still wet.

       Featured today is Molly when she first came into my life. It was around this point I realized just how "special" Molly was. For the first week or so, the only place that truly made her "happy" to lay, was my on face. She's had this odd habit since a pup where she just needs to be pushing up on you. At least now she usually sits next me shoulder to shoulder.

       Todays picture comes from a while ago when Molly and I shared a house with another dog, Mr. Jackson. When they first met, they didn't along so well. After a few wrestling matches between the two, order was restored and they seemed to be getting along.
